Hi! I’m Fabiana Rodrigues

I am originally from Brazil but have been calling Vancouver home for more than 15 years. Here is where I started my journey into motherhood in the year of 2013. Being pregnant outside your home country could add more challenges to this wonderful and intense experience. I had many questions regarding the health care system and the physiology of pregnancy and childbirth. My natural inclination to deeply explore a subject helped me find answers to those questions and the importance of having a doula support was one of them. I surely had a doula alongside me during the birth of my first baby.

After a year into motherhood (and being pregnant for the second time), I realized that I had a strong desire to share with other women what I had learned and experienced. I wanted to support other women through their journeys and difficulties.

I became a Certified Birth Doula by DONA in 2015. After having my third baby I specialized and offered services as a Sibling Doula where I supported older siblings during the birth of the newest member of their families. In 2022 I felt the need to expand my support to families during the first months of the postpartum period. I then became a Certified Postpartum Doula by Wise Woman Way of Birth. My passion for learning didn’t stop me there. I have a variety of training and continuing education certifications in lactation, infant massage, CPR, car seat safety, obstetrics, and child development. I find the birth world very fascinating!
