Birth Preparation Consultation
One-on-One Virtual Session
As with every big life event, labor and birth deserve thoughtful preparation, reflection, and intention. Throughout pregnancy, you envision and prepare for that one (sometimes two or more) unique and special day. Taking the time to sit down, clarify your wishes, and educate yourself can make a world of difference in how you experience this moment.
This personalized consultation will provide you and your partner with evidence-based information, along with valuable insights from my own professional and personal experience. You’ll gain the tools and guidance you need to feel confident navigating the early stages of labor at home.
We will cover:
- Practical strategies to help you communicate your wishes with your medical team
- How to ask questions during the birth process
- Understand your options and what is available as you go through the different stages of labor – in the hospital or at home
- How to prepare for a calm, connected golden hour with your newborn – skin-to-skin, bonding and the first feed
- What to expect in the first 24 hours: baby’s “firsts” – cues, behaviours, reflexes, newborn screening; mother’s healing – vaginal and c-section births
- Your Birth Preferences – aka The Birth Plan
I believe that everyone who wants to have a doula should have one. I am also aware that not everyone can have a doula working alongside them on their birth day. But I truly believe that with a personalized plan and access to the right information, you can feel prepared, supported, and empowered.
This session is designed for those who won’t have a doula present during their birth experience but still want knowledgeable and personalized guidance, encouragement, and support in advance. I might not be there to hold your hand on the day, but I will be by your side in this journey – helping you prepare, listening to your concerns and wishes, and offering the kind of nurturing care that every person deserves.
This session is made just for you – not just any pregnant person. I will see you – your wishes, your needs, your birth story.
Ideal time to book this session: Between 28 and 33 weeks of pregnancy – so you have time to prepare and feel confident as your birth approaches.
This one-on-one session includes:
- A 2-hour personalized virtual session via Zoom at a time that’s most convenient for you and your partner
- A follow-up email with a summary of our session, plus links, resources, and referrals

The Postpartum Plan
A personalized session for a calmer transition into motherhood
We all hear about the importance of a Birth Plan and how much preparation there is for that special day (or days!). But it’s equally important to focus on what comes next – the postpartum period. The World Health Organization defines this period as the first six weeks after childbirth but many other experts define it as the Fourth Trimester, the twelve weeks after the baby is born (I would agree that this is a more accurate way to describe it!).
During this time, significant biological, physiological, and emotional changes happen in the woman’s and baby’s bodies. Newborn babies adjust to being outside of the womb and “newborn” parents adjust to the new routine at home with a baby and how to meet this new human’s unique needs – after all, babies don’t come with manuals!
The early weeks after the baby’s arrival can feel overwhelming and sometimes chaotic. Having a plan to navigate this period is essential. Whether you have a strong support system or are starting this journey without a village, a proper and thoughtful plan can set yourself up for a calmer, successful, joyous postpartum experience. Think of it as a roadmap for a smoother and more joyful transition into motherhood.
Ideal time to book this session: Between 25 and 35 weeks of pregnancy

Postpartum Doula Support
The postpartum period is such a unique and transformative time, filled with moments of joy, as well as many questions, decisions, and worries. Considering the dynamics of today’s world, more and more families find themselves without that support “village” that once surrounded new parents. Historically, women have always supported and cared for other women during this sacred time. As a postpartum doula and newborn specialist, I’m here to walk alongside you – just as generations of women in different cultures have done before.
I offer warm, gentle, and nurturing hands-on support along with valuable, evidence-based information during the postpartum period at home. Drawing on my personal experience as a mother of three, professional training, and continuing education, I provide care, practical guidance and emotional encouragement to new parents and other family members during the early months of parenthood.
My goal is to help families make informed choices that align with their family values, foster autonomy and empowerment, and give “newborn” moms the opportunity to rest, heal, and focus on connecting and getting to know themselves and their babies.
My services include:
(customized based on your unique needs)
- Free initial 30-minute Zoom call with me
- One 30-minute virtual prenatal session (if applicable)
- Newborn care and comfort methods
- Infant feeding support
- Babywearing support
- Emotional reassurance and referrals, as parents adjust to the new journey
- Practical support – light tidying up, baby laundry
- Accompaniment to appointments

Lactation Consultant
When I think of breastfeeding, I see it as a journey of its own – unique to each mother and baby. It’s unpredictable, special, challenging, and surreal. It requires time, patience, willingness, self-compassion and care. It’s about connecting with your inner self and your baby.
Breastfeeding is both instinctual and physiological, involving innate reflexes, hormonal balance, and changes. But it’s also a learning process that requires practice and adjustments. It benefits from support and education.
Normalizing what is natural in breastfeeding, understanding a baby’s basic needs, and recognizing potential challenges early on can help make this journey feel less overwhelming and unpredictable.

- Bottle feeding
- Breast pain
